Location Highlights:

North Arm Bay is just north of Crystal Bay and west of Maxwell Bay. Locals say North Arm Bay is the best place for recreational water sports like tubing, wakeboarding, and surfing. Fishing is also popular on the bay, with the most commonly found species including Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappie, Perch, and several different species of Bass. The homes on North Arm Bay are located in Orono, split between the Mound Westonka and Orono School Districts. The bay's premier residential enclave, Tonkawa, is a secluded lakeside haven celebrated for its stunning natural beauty, unparalleled wooded lots, and collection of luxury homes.

Water Quality:

The maximum water depth in North Arm Bay is 60 feet, and the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District gives North Arm Bay a B in water quality. The water is generally good, but algae may limit swimming towards the end of the summer.

Lake Access:

North Arm has one boat launch, owned by the city of Orono, North Arm Launch is less than 5 minutes from downtown Spring Park. The launch's convenient location gives easy access to all that Lake Minnetonka offers.

Amenities:

The shoreline of North Arm Bay is mainly residential, but Noerenberg Memorial Gardens is nearby in Crystal Bay. The 73-acre garden offers rental space for weddings and large events; it is well known for its beautiful greenery and picturesque location. On West Arm Bay, Lord Fletcher's Old Lake Lodge is in the other direction. The restaurant has docks available to customers; it is easy to tie up and grab a quick bite to eat at this Lake Minnetonka staple.
