Spring Park

Spring park was one of the popular tourist destinations during the “glory days” of lake Minnetonka. the majestic Hotel del Otero, constructed by James j. Hill in 1885, was quite the destination.  The hotel had a steady stream of customers from the trains from the city. the hotel burned down in the 40’s and now the mist apartments occupy the site. Spring Park has never lost its tourist charm though with a constant stream of people coming to the popular waterfront restaurant, Lord Fletcher’s, and the weekly classic car exhibitions at Minnetonka Drive-In, or the walk-up Dairy Queen.
