Maxwell Bay is home to the Maxwell Bay Boat Launch, owned by the city of Orono, and it is just 5 minutes from downtown Spring Park. Past the boat launch is North Shore Marina, offering marine services like off-season storage, gas discounts, seasonal maintenance, and boat slip rentals.
Amenities:
The shoreline of Maxwell Bay is primarily residential, but Norenberg Memorial Gardens is located in the channel entering Maxwell Bay. The 73-acre formal garden offers rental space for weddings and large events, and it is most known for its beautiful greenery and picture spots. Maxwell Bay is also well known for its excellent fishing, but it is a busier bay, and it is best to go early in the morning. The fish species most commonly found in the bay are Walleye, Northern Pike, Crappie, Perch, and several different species of Bass.
