Lake Access:
The abundance of marinas on St. Albans Bay validates the popularity of the area, the two marinas on the bay being Bean's Greenwood Marina and Tonka Bay Marina-St. Albans Bay. Bean's Greenwood Marina is a family-owned business and the only one on Lake Minnetonka to offer covered boat slips. They have been operating for over 70 years and offer amenities like boat slip rentals, gas pumps, off-season storage, and detailing services. Tonka Bay Marina has multiple locations across the lake, and the St. Albans location has 90 slips that can store boats up to 36 feet. The shelter of St. Albans Bay helps protect against the harsh winds of large Lake Minnetonka and is an ideal spot to dock recreational boats.
Amenities:
St. Albans Bay is a quiet bay tucked away off the city of Excelsior. It is a great spot to drop an anchor and float on its calm waters. When dinner time comes around, Maynards' docks make it easy to head to the restaurant and grab a bite. The restaurant operated on the Excelsior Amusement Park's land from 1925 to 1973. Whether you're looking to enjoy a meal with the family after a long day on the lake or catch up with coworkers at the bar, Maynards' Wharf can accommodate any appetite. Downtown Excelsior hosts events throughout the summer, Concerts in the Commons, Excelsior Farmer's Market, and the annual Fourth of July celebration, all just minutes from St. Albans Bay.
