Maple Grove

Maple Grove was originally inhabited by the Winnebago until 1851 when Louis Gervais arrived and settled.  The city was named after the maple trees and large amount of maple syrup that was produced there. As development moved westwards from Minneapolis and the completion of  Interstate 95, 695, and 494, Maple Grove has grown at an impressive pace since the 1970’s.  It is one of the most populated cities in the state and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state
