The lake was named for the wife of Burritt S. Judd, an early settler​ in the area.​ ​There is no public boat access, but through Greenwood Shores Park, ​the public is permitted to carry in small watercraft via the small channel that connects ​Lake Lucy and Lake Ann on the Southside of the lake.
