Grays Bay Marina and Public Access - Grays Bay

The Gray’s Bay Marina and Public Access is on the bay’s south end. The marina’s operating season runs from April 1 through October 31-weather and ice-out dates permitting. Once the season has begun, the marina and public access may be used 24 hours daily. Gray’s Bay Marina offers amenities, including a parking lot with 112 vehicle-with-trailer spaces and 21 vehicle-only spaces, three launch lanes, and 29 permanent boat slips. The DNR and the city jointly manage the marina. The DNR owns the marina, whereas the city of Minnetonka owns the fuel system, permanent docks, and public restroom. The gas dock is open Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Village of Wayzata Public Marina - Wayzata Bay

The Village of Wayzata Public Marina is on Lake Street East on Wayzata Bay. The city of Wayzata maintains 100 municipal boat slips for Wayzata residents. Residents fill out a new boat slip permit application and enter a lottery for a chance to claim a dock slip. If chosen, there is no limit to how long you can keep the slip as long as you renew annually. The dock slips can accommodate boats less than 26 feet in length. 

North Shore Marina - Maxwell Bay and Browns Bay

North Shore Marina is a three-generation family-owned business. The full-service marina operates from two locations: Maxwell Bay and Browns Bay. The marinas offer various services, including boat winterization and summerization, boat storage, seasonal maintenance, on-site mechanical service, and dry rack and in-water boat slips. The centrally located marinas make cruising to popular Lake Minnetonka spots of Wayzata, Excelsior, and the Big Island easy. The Maxwell Bay location has a private clubhouse with a restroom, shower, and screened porch, giving a remote up-North feel without the drive. Maxwell Bay also has a service shop and gas dock for boat slip renters. The Brown’s Bay location is just minutes from Wayzata and offers breakwater-sheltered slips on Brown’s Bay and sheltered slips on Tanager Lake. The site has secure parking, Travelift services, private bathroom/shower facilities, and a fire pit and sandy beach area. 

Minnetonka Yacht Club - Carsons Bay, Light House Island, and Bug Island

The Minnetonka Yacht Club (MYC) is a Carson Bay and St. Louis Bay private marina. There are three MYC locations, the home base being Carsons Bay Facility, then Light House Island, and Bug Island. The Carsons Bay Facility is located on Minnetonka Boulevard in Deephaven. The location operates as an on-shore facility office and boat launch location. Additional services include buoys for sailboats, motorboat slips, a private parking lot for members, and MYC pontoon shuttle service. The pontoon runs on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 30 minutes past sunset and on weekends from 8 a.m. to 30 minutes past sunset. The shuttle runs from the Carsons Bay Facility to Light House Island then Bug Island. The Light House Island location is home to the MYC Clubhouse and Lake Minnetonka Sailing School for ages 8 through college. Bug Island houses racers' boats during the summer, with a lift and on-shore dinghy storage available.

Your Boat Club - Smiths Bay and Browns Bay

Your Boat Club on Lake Minnetonka’s East Side offers boat club memberships, daily boat rentals, and a refueling station. The marina has two locations, one on Browns Bay and the other on Smiths Bay. Both have a gas dock open to the public Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The two locations are less than a 5-minute drive by boat. It is important to note that the Browns Bay location does not have ice to purchase, but the Smiths Bay location does. 

Bayside Marine - Excelsior Bay 

Bayside Marine is located on the north end of Excelsior Bay. It has a private boat ramp and over 8,000 square feet of marine shop space. The marina offers boat maintenance and repair, seasonal storage, cleaning and detailing, and boat slip rental. There are 93 boat slips to rent, with storage capacities ranging from 18 to 50 feet. Dock slips have access to a private clubhouse with 24-hour access to showers and restrooms, on-site management with 24-hour security live feed, ice-to-fill coolers, and on-site parking. Bayside Marina is conveniently located minutes from downtown Excelsior close to many restaurants and retail. 

Bean’s Greenwood Marina - St. Albans Bay

Check out family-owned Bean’s Greenwood Marina on St. Albans Bay for all your boating needs. Bean’s has been operating for over 70 years on St. Albans Bay and offers boat slip rentals, a full-service gas dock, winter storage and services, mechanical and marine services, and cleaning and detailing services. The convenient location, tucked away from the city of Excelsior, makes it the ideal place to refuel and restock marine supplies, snacks, and beverages. Bean’s offers 5 lb and 20 lb ice bags for purchase, safety products, US Coast Guard-required items, and pump-out services for their customers. The Gas Dock is in a no-wake zone just through St. Albans Bay bridge, making the refueling process hassle-free. Staffers assist boaters and guide them to one of the three separate gas dispensers that distribute non-oxygenated gasoline designed for boats and PWC. Bean’s Greenwood Marina - Echo Bay is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., expect hour fluctuation throughout the season. 

Minnetonka MarinaExcelsior Bay, St. Albans Bay, and Gideon Bay

The Minnetonka Marina has three Lake Minnetonka shoreline locations: Excelsior Bay, St. Albans Bay, and Gideon Bay. All of the locations have access to water and electricity from the dock. The Excelsior Bay location has 24 slips for larger boats and cabin cruisers up to 60 feet long and four slips for up to 38 feet long near the public pick-up dock in downtown Excelsior. The St. Albans Bay location has 90 slips for boats up to 36 feet in a quiet setting; docked vessels are protected from wind, waves, and wake. The marina has restrooms, Wi-Fi, and gated and paved parking. The last Minnetonka Marina location is on 4 acres of lakeshore on Gideon Bay adjacent to Lake Minnetonka Regional Trail. There are 117 deep-water slips for boats up to 40 feet long. The Gideon Bay location is home to one of the lake’s newest and largest travel lift services and a launch ramp open to the public.

Caribbean Marina - Echo Bay

Whether you're looking to refuel your boat, find a permanent dock slip, or hungry for a bite to eat. The Caribbean Marina on Echo Bay in Tonka Bay has everything you need in just one place. The Caribbean gas dock is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Caribean offers 91 Octane, non-oxygenated fuel, and pump-out services. The pump-out service fee is $30 but is free with a minimum 40-gallon fill-up. The marina has more than 100 slips on site that can accommodate boats of all sizes, including jetskis and personal watercraft. A feature unique to the Caribbean is the on-site restaurant Lost Bay. The restaurant is operated by Aaron Switz, owner of local restaurants such as Yumi, Macanda, and Josefina. The Tiki Bar has island-inspired cocktails and various menu items to suit anyone's tastes. 

Tonka Bay Marina - Echo Bay

Echo Bay is home to Lake Minnetonka's largest full-service marina, Tonka Bay Marina, on 6 acres of lakefront property in the cozy Tonka Bay neighborhood. Services offered by Tonka Bay include boat slip rentals, boat sales, repairs, storage, dry stack, and a gas dock. Unlike other marinas on the lake, Tonka Bay has sturdy, permanent wood docks that accommodate vessels ranging from fishing boats to 70-foot cabin cruisers. The marina's modern facilities make it convenient to dry stack boats, all launch requests are made on the SpeedyDock app, and the boat will be ready to go upon arrival. When in need of fuel on the lake's east side, refuel at Tonka Bay Marina. The Echo Bay location offers a gas dock open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect weather-dependent and seasonal hour fluctuation. The gas dock at Tonka Bay Marina offers 91 Octane and non-oxygenated gas, specifically for boats and PWC, ice, and pump services. 

Lindbo Landing Marina - Echo Bay

If you’re looking to dock your boat in the heart of Lake Minnetonka, look to Lindbo Landing Marina in Echo Bay. The marina has 42 dock slips off West Point Road in Tonka Bay and is the closest to Big Island. Lindbo Landing offers non-motorized watercraft access, boat slips up to 32’, boat lifts on request, on-site security, and restrooms.

Upper Lake

Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. - West Arm Bay 

Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. was established in 1961 and is located on the southern shore of West Arm Bay. The marina offers everything for any type of boater, including dockage, dry stack (in/out service), boat club, toon club, pontoon rentals, winter storage, boat repairs and service, boats for sale, Store on Shore, and gas dock. Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., but hours fluctuate depending on season and weather conditions. Boat slip rentals accommodate 24’ and 32’ boats with electricity and water hookups. Rockvam gas dock has pump outs, on-shore bathrooms, refreshments, and snacks from the Store on Shore. The store has beverages, snacks, ice, and necessities like sunblock, marine-grade paper towels, and garbage bags. Available for dock-side pickup while you’re fueling up. 

Howard's Point Marina - Upper Lake Minnetonka

Check out the century-old Howard’s Point Marina on the shoreline of Upper Lake Minnetonka. Since 1926, Howards Point Marina has been fueling the boats of Lake Minnetonka with 91 Octane in a fast and friendly manner. Additional services include boat rentals, slip rentals, and off-season storage. In the summer, Howards Point Marina rents out 14’ fishing boats, 25’ and 30’ pontoons, and 30’ tritoons that accommodate 16 people. In the colder months, Howards Point Marina winterizes and stores boats so they are ready to hit the water in the summer. The marina operates Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to sunset, all summer. 

Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club - Upper Lake Minnetonka

The Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club (UMYC) on Upper Lake Minnetonka has promoted sailing and racing for over 60 years. If you’re looking for a community of sailors, consider docking at UMYC. The marina offers children and adult sailing programs, from beginner sailboat racing clinics to adult classes and competitive sailboat racing. The marina rents out dock slips to its members, but because it is located in a park-like setting in Shorewood, MN, dock slips do not have access to power or water. 

Metro Lakes Marina and Rentals LLC - Harrisons Bay

Metro Lakes Marina and Rentals LLC on Harrisons Bay offers rental and fueling services. Pontoons, wave runners, and fishing boats are available to rent in the summer. Once the lake is frozen over, patrons can rent ice fishing houses. To refuel on Lake Minnetonka’s west side, look to Metro Lakes Marina and Rentals LLC. The full-service gas dock is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. offering 91 Octane, non-oxygenated fuel, and ice for boaters. The gas dock is in a no-wake zone outside Seton Channel, making it easily accessible.
