Grays Bay Marina and Public Access - Grays Bay
Gray’s Bay Marina and Public Access is located on the southern end of Gray's Bay and operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31, weather and ice-out permitting. Once open for the season, the marina and public access are available 24 hours a day. The facility is well-equipped with three launch lanes, 29 permanent boat slips, and a large parking area offering 112 spaces for vehicles with trailers and 21 vehicle-only spots. The marina is managed by the Minnesota DNR and the City of Minnetonka, the DNR owns the marina itself, while the city oversees the fuel system, permanent docks, and public restrooms. The gas dock operates Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., and on the weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Village of Wayzata Public Marina - Wayzata Bay
The Village of Wayzata Public Marina is located along Lake Street East on Wayzata Bay. The marina is operated by the City of Wayzata and features 100 municipal boat slips, reserved exclusively for Wayzata residents. Each year, residents may apply for a boat slip through a lottery system. Once selected, there is no time limit on holding the slip, as long as it is renewed annually. Slips are designed to accommodate boats under 26 feet in length, offering a convenient and scenic docking opportunity right in the heart of downtown Wayzata.
North Shore Marina - Maxwell Bay and Browns Bay
North Shore Marina is a three-generation family-owned business offering full-service marina operations from two Lake Minnetonka locations: Maxwell Bay and Browns Bay. Both marinas provide a wide range of services, including boat winterization and summerization, seasonal maintenance, on-site mechanical repairs, boat storage, and both dry rack and in-water slips. Their central locations make cruising to Lake Minnetonka's most popular destinations, Wayzata, Excelsior, and Big Island, quick and convenient.
The Maxwell Bay location features a private clubhouse complete with restrooms, showers, and a screened-in porch, offering an "up-north" style retreat just minutes from home. This location also includes a service shop and gas dock exclusively for slip renters. Just a short distance from downtown Wayzata, the Browns Bay location offers sheltered boat slips on both Browns Bay and Tanager Lake. Amenities at this location include secure parking, Travelift services, private restrooms and shower facilities, and a sandy beach with a fire pit, perfect for relaxing on the shore.
Minnetonka Yacht Club - Carsons Bay, Light House Island, and Bug Island
The Minnetonka Yacht Club (MYC) is a private marina with facilities on Carsons Bay and St. Louis Bay. There are three MYC locations, the primary base on Carsons Bay, as well as Light House Island and Bug Island. The Carsons Bay Facility located on Minnetonka Boulevard in Deephaven, serves as the onshore headquarters and boat launch site. It offers amenities such as sailboat buoys, motorboat slips, a private parking lot, and a dedicated MYC pontoon shuttle service. The shuttle runs from the Carson Bay Facility to Light House Island and Bug Island, operating weekdays from 4 p.m. to 30 minutes past sunset, and weekends from 8 a.m. until 30 minutes past sunset. Light House Island is home to the MYC Clubhouse and Lake Minnetonka Sailing School, which offers programs for youth ages 8 through college. Bug Island is dedicated to summer racing operations and provides lift access and onshore dinghy storage for members' boats.
Your Boat Club - Smiths Bay and Browns Bay
Your Boat Club, located on the east side of Lake Minnetonka, offers flexible boat club memberships, convenient daily rentals, and on-site fueling services. With two marina locations, one on Browns Bay and the other on Smiths Bay, boaters can easily access the lake from either spot, just a quick 5-minute ride apart by boat. Both marinas feature public gas docks open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For those needing ice, be sure to stop at the Smiths Bay location, as ice is not available at Browns Bay.
Bayside Marine - Excelsior Bay
Bayside Marine is located on the north end of Excelsior Bay and features over 8,000 square feet of dedicated marine shop space, along with a private boat ramp. The marina offers a full range of services, including boat maintenance and repairs, seasonal storage, cleaning and detailing, and boat slip rentals. Bayside offers 93 boat slips, accommodating vessels ranging from 18 to 50 feet, delivering docking options for a variety of boaters. Slip renters enjoy access to a private clubhouse with 24-hour showers and restrooms, on-site management, live-feed security, cooler ice, and convenient on-site parking. Just minutes from downtown Excelsior, Bayside is located minutes from popular restaurants, shops, and local attractions.
Bean’s Greenwood Marina - St. Albans Bay
Bean's Greenwood Marina is a family-owned business on St. Albans Bay and has been serving the Lake Minnetonka community for over 70 years. The marina offers a full range of services including boat slip rentals, mechanical and marine repair, winter storage, and cleaning and detailing. A full-service gas dock is available, along with pump-out services and a small on-site store stocked with snacks, beverages and boating essentials. The store sells ice in 5 lb and 20 lb bags, along with required US Coast Guard required safety equipment and boat maintenance supplies. The Gas Dock is in a no-wake zone just through St. Albans Bay bridge, making the refueling process hassle-free. Staffers assist boaters and guide them to one of the three separate gas dispensers that distribute non-oxygenated gasoline designed for boats and PWC. Bean’s Greenwood Marina - Echo Bay is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., expect hour fluctuation throughout the season.
Minnetonka Marina - Excelsior Bay, St. Albans Bay, and Gideon Bay
The Minnetonka Marina operates three shoreline locations on Lake Minnetonka: Excelsior Bay, St. Albans Bay, and Gideon Bay. Each site offers dock access to water and electricity, with additional amenities tailored to boaters' needs across the bays. The Excelsior Bay location has 24 slips for larger boats and cabin cruisers up to 60 feet long and four slips for up to 38 feet long near the public pick-up dock in downtown Excelsior. St. Albans Bay offers 90 slips for boats up to 36 feet in a quiet, sheltered setting that protects vessels from wind, waves, and wake. Additionally, this location has a restroom, Wi-Fi, and gated, paved parking. The Gideon Bay location spans across four acres of lakeshore next to the Minnetonka Regional Trail and offers 117 deep-water slips for boats up to 40 feet. This site features one of the lake's newest and largest travel lift services, as well as a public launch ramp.
Located on Echo Bay in Tonka Bay, Caribbean Marina offers a range of boating services in one convenient spot. The gas dock is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., providing 91-octane, non-oxygenated fuel along with pump-out services. The pump-out fee is $30, but is waived with a 40-gallon minimum fuel purchase. The marina includes over 100 slips, accommodating everything from jet skis to larger watercraft. Lost Bay is an on-site restaurant operated by Aaron Switz, owner of local restaurants such as Yumi, Macanda, and Josefina. The Tiki Bar has island-inspired cocktails and various menu items to suit anyone's tastes.
Echo Bay is home to Tonka Bay Marina, Lake Minnetonka's largest full-service marina, situated on six acres of lakefront in the Tonka Bay neighborhood. The marina provides a wide range of services, including boat slip rentals, sales, repairs, storage, dry stack, and fueling. Unlike many marinas on the lake, Tonka Bay features permanent wood docks built to accommodate a variety of vessels, from small fishing boats to 70-foot cabin cruisers. The marina's modern facilities make it convenient to dry stack boats, all launch requests are made on the SpeedyDock app, and the boat will be ready to go upon arrival. When in need of fuel on the lake's east side, refuel at Tonka Bay Marina. The Echo Bay location offers a gas dock open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Expect weather-dependent and seasonal hour fluctuation. The gas dock at Tonka Bay Marina offers 91 Octane and non-oxygenated gas, specifically for boats and PWC, ice, and pump services.
Lindbo Landing Marina - Echo Bay
Lindbo Landing Marina is located in Echo Bay, just off West Point Road in Tonka Bay, and features 42 dock slips. The marina is off of West Point Road in Tonka Bay, close to Big Island, providing convenient access to the central part of Lake Minnetonka. Lindbo Landing accommodates boats up to 32 feet and offers boat lifts upon request, non-motorized watercraft access, on-site security, and restroom facilities.

Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. - West Arm Bay
Established in 1961, Rockvam Boat Yards, Inc. is located on the southern shore of West Arm Bay and offers a wide range of services for boaters of all kinds. Amenities include dockage, dry stack (in/out service), boat and pontoon rentals, boat club and "Toon Club" memberships, winter storage, service and repairs, boat sales, and a lakeside convenience shop knowns as the Store on Shore. The marina's gas dock provides 91-octane fuel, pump-out services, and on-shore restrooms. While fueling, boaters can grab refreshments, snacks, and essentials like ice, sunscreen, marine-grade paper towels, and garbage bags, all available for dockside pickup. Rockvam's dock rentals accommodate boats up to 24' and 32', with electricity and water hookups included. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., though hours may vary seasonally and with weather conditions.
Howard's Point Marina - Upper Lake Minnetonka
Howard's Point Marina is a century-old facility on the shores of Upper Lake Minnetonka, has been serving boaters since 1926. The marina offers 91-octane fuel along with a range of services, including boat rentals, slip rentals, and off-season storage. During the summer, rentals include 14-foot fishing boats, 25' and 30' pontoons, and spacious 30' tritoons that seat up to 16 people. In the off-season, the marina provides winterization and storage to ensure boats are ready for the water when the warm weather returns. Howard's Point Marina is open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset throughout the summer.
Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club - Upper Lake Minnetonka
The Upper Minnetonka Yacht Club (UMYC) on Upper Lake Minnetonka has promoted sailing and racing for over 60 years. If you’re looking for a community of sailors, consider docking at UMYC. The marina offers children and adult sailing programs, from beginner sailboat racing clinics to adult classes and competitive sailboat racing. The marina rents out dock slips to its members, but because it is located in a park-like setting in Shorewood, MN, dock slips do not have access to power or water.
Metro Lakes Marina and Rentals LLC - Harrisons Bay
Metro Lakes Marina and Rentals LLC on Harrisons Bay offers rental and fueling services. Pontoons, wave runners, and fishing boats are available to rent in the summer. Once the lake is frozen over, patrons can rent ice fishing houses. To refuel on Lake Minnetonka’s west side, look to Metro Lakes Marina and Rentals LLC. The full-service gas dock is open Monday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. offering 91 Octane, non-oxygenated fuel, and ice for boaters. The gas dock is in a no-wake zone outside Seton Channel, making it easily accessible.
