Foxberry Farms was once a part of the "Big Woods," a vast region of hardwood forest, only broken by bodies of water like Lake Medina. In 1855, European settlers came to the region, and in 1879, the Hamel area of Media was platted as a city. It wasn't until the mid-1990s that development began in Foxberry Farms. Construction continued until the early 2000s, and the neighborhood has become an established Medina neighborhood.
